"We always love to discuss and reveal characters because human character is to us the great puzzle. No matter how much you know a human being, you don`t know him or her enough. Discussing character constitutes a supreme form of entertainment."
This film will be not a typical rendition of archive and the people in Bashevis life with commentary describing Singer`s physiognomy only, but is meant to remind us of his great genius and timeless contribution.
The movie would enable the viewers to better understand both - multicultural - American, Polish and Jewish culture, which become a contribution to the American, European, Israeli and more - world culture.
We would present vanished world of Yiddish - the civilization of pre-War Eastern European Jews in which Singer, was raised, and the memories of which he took with him when he emigrated to the USA in 1935.
The film would contain unique archival materials found only recently and never before published, such as audio recordings, stills and motion films with Singer.
The project was established in 1994 and the first preliminary shooting took place in New York City in 2000.
The shooting on Full HD did start in March 2009 in USA and the premiere of the film is planned on November 2011.
